Plan the route to the restroom as carefully as the restroom itself.
Choose with the use in mind
Accessible portable toilets provide a different layout from a standard cabin. Explain who needs access and whether an ADA-compliant configuration is required. Confirm the proposed model and its specifications rather than assuming that every larger unit has the same features.
Make the location work
The surrounding space matters. Discuss a firm, stable approach, the entrance threshold, door maneuvering room and a position that does not force users through mud, steps or a vehicle lane. Do not reserve an isolated corner simply because the unit is larger.
Confirm the full arrangement
For public events, the organizer should confirm applicable accessibility requirements with the venue or relevant authority. Providing an accessible unit alone does not establish that the entire site is compliant. Include nearby handwashing and clear directional information in the plan.
Leave room for changes
If your dates, site access or expected use change, discuss the arrangement before the next delivery or service visit. Keep the agreed contact details available to the person managing the site.
